10ème Journée des Lacs Alpins de Cosmologie (JLAC10)

CERN, Tuesday 07.03.2006

Location and Transport

The meeting takes place at CERN in Geneva, in room 40-5-A01. This is located in the building number 40 (the LHC building, just down the main road from entrance A in front of the cafeteria, looking very new from the outside), on level 5, room number A01. You can either go directly there for the start of the meeting (10:00) or come 15 minutes earlier to the reception.

CERN can either be reached by the bus number 9 from the Geneva train station (gare Cornavin) or by car. CERN has a webpage with more details. When taking the bus, please make sure that it is marked "9 CERN". Please try to catch the bus at either 9:01 or 9:14 at the train station if you plan to be at the reception by 9:45.

Format

Speakers should avoid technical details as much as possible, the level should be adequate for non-experts. We expect that speakers will be using the blackboard. If you need a slide projector or beamer (e.g. for simulations or pictures) it can be arranged, but you must tell the organisers. Remember that the workshop is intended to foster interactions with the audience, experience has shown that this is best achieved when you use the blackboard. Please aim for a short talk, about 15 to 20 minutes, to leave room for questions and discussions. We would also like to encourage especially contributions from Ph.D. students.

Lunch will be at the CERN cafeteria (at your own expense). There is no registration fee. Any visitors are welcome. We would be grateful if those who plan to attend could register by sending an email to Céline or Martin, as it helps us to organise the meeting.
