12ème Journée des Lacs Alpins de Cosmologie (JLAC12)

EPFL, 19.10.2007

Location

The meeting will NOT take place in the usual BSP (Bâtiment des Sciences Physiques) where the Institute of Theoretical Physics is located, but in the closeby building called Génopode (see map below), in Auditoire A.

EPFL can be reached:

By train: After arriving at the Lausanne train station, walk across the road, catch the metro (line m2) and go uphill to Lausanne-Flon. Then take the metro (line m1), and get off  at UNIL-Sorge. The BSP is just over road from the metro stop. Alternatively, if arriving at Renens train station, just take the metro (line m1) direct to UNIL-Sorge. Timetable information can be found on the CFF website (you can choose UNIL-Sorge as the destination).

By car: Follow the direction Lausanne-Sud on the motorway. Get off at the Université - EPFL exit. Turn right into the University (red arrows on the map below). The closest car park to the BSP is marked on the map (parking isn't free).

plan UNIL

By boat: This is also possible, but is probably not the easiest way to reach the EPFL.

Format

Speakers should avoid technical details as much as possible. A blackboard format is preferred; an overhead projector will be available. The talks should not exceed 15 mins, with an additional 5 mins for questions and discussion. Please remember that the audience is mixed, so the level should be adequate for non-experts.

If you wish to attend the meeting without giving a talk, please register with the organisers - we need an estimate of the total number of people for the planning. There is no registration fee.
