The meeting takes place in the Ecole de Physique at the University of Geneva. We meet at 9:30am on the ground floor next to the main entrance, for coffee and croissants. The talks will start at 10am in the Stuckelberg room on the ground floor. We recommend very much to come here by public transport, the parking is no longer free (CHF 5.- for the day, tickets from the reception in the physics building) and very probably full.
If you need to come by car and cannot find a parking at the Ecole de Physique, you may leave your car in the "blue zone" along the Arve river for up to one hour before trying again. Alternatively you may use one of the underground parkings shown on this map of the parking foundation (we are a bit to the left of the centre of the map). All parkings visible are within easy walking distance, and also quite expensive (click on the "P" for details and prices).
Please check this website again for updates one week before the meeting.
Speakers should avoid technical details as much as possible, the level should be adequate for non-experts. We expect that speakers will be using the blackboard. If you need a slide projector or beamer (e.g. for simulations or pictures) it can be arranged, but you must tell the organisers. Remember that the workshop is intended to foster interactions with the audience, experience has shown that this is best achieved when you use the blackboard. Please aim for a short talk, about 15 minutes, to leave room for questions and discussions. We would like to encourage especially contributions from Ph.D. students.
Lunch will be provided (in the form of sandwiches) at the cafeteria of the Ecole de Physique (several other cafeterias and restaurants are nearby as well). There is no registration fee. Any visitors are welcome. We would be grateful if those who plan to attend could register by sending an email to Julien or Martin, as it helps us to organise the meeting.
All talks take place in the Stueckelberg room on the ground floor of the Ecole de Physique. Please contact the organisers if you would like to give a talk, change your talk, or for any other enquiries:
